About Department

Department of Nepali, Government General Degree College at Pedong is established on 6 th April of 2015 along with  Government General Degre College at Pedong. Nepali Language is major using language of the area where college is located. Though, Department of Nepali of the college is only a centre where Nepali language and literature are teaching in higher education level. In this point of view, Department of Nepali has an important role to develops the area of Nepali language and literature in local people. Nepali Department taught various aspect of Nepali Language and literature along with Nepali culture, Nepali Folklore, Linguistic etc.

Department of Nepali has three allotted small classrooms and classroom in 1st floor for taking everyday classes. Classes are well equipped with seating, adequate lighting, ceiling fans etc. As a learning process and for positive impacts students and teachers often decorate and maintain cleanliness of classrooms themselves. There is a small cubicle for seminar library for the teachers and the students of the Department. College has a central library but teachers also help students by lending them books from seminar library for reference use only.
