The Central library of Government General Degree College at Pedong was started from the inception of the college in the year 2015. As an essential component of our institution, the Central library plays a crucial role in catering to the academic requirements and pursuits of our students, faculty, and staff. It exemplifies our dedication to this mission by functioning as a dynamic center of learning, creativity, and motivation, nurturing the intellectual growth of both students and faculty members. Housed within a modern architectural marvel, our library boasts of expansive study areas, and comfortable seating arrangement. Our dedicated team of library stands ready to assist users in navigating the vast sea of information, offering expert guidance in research strategies, citation styles, and database usage. The central library has spacious reading room attached to it having more than 4000 volumes including text and reference books and educational CDs/ DVDs. The library subscribed some of the leading journals in Science, Social Science and Literature. On behalf of the library, two leading newspapers have been subscribed for the benefit of the readers. Our library has the institutional membership of the National Digital Library of India developed by IIT Kharagpur (https://ndl.iitkgp.ac.in/). Additionally, the library holds an institutional membership with the American Centre Library, providing access to a vast array of e-resources (https://elibraryusa.state.gov/). New books are purchased by the library at regular intervals. The library collection is arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification scheme 19^th edition. The entire library has been secured by CCTV surveillance.
